Researchers in Sweden discovered that men who had the most calcium in food had 25 percent 
less of a chance to die over the next ten years than men their age who had the least calcium 
from food. 
The calcium was only from food, and not from supplements.
In the US, it is recommended that ment 19 to 50 years old take 1,000 milligrams of calcium 
a day, and that men 50 and over take 1,200 milligrams a day. 
However, the study has suggested that having a bit more than the recommended amount can raise 
your general lifespan.
The researchers pointed out that calcium could lengthen your life in many ways, 
such as reducing blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood sugar levels.
