[News]

Scientist studying the Arctic say that methane emissions in the region have increased
by almost a third over just five years. They say the global warming trend is to blame.
Methane is far more potent than carbon dioxide, and the Arctic soil is responsible for
locking away billions of tons of methane.
Experts are very concerned that the release of methane will begin a destructive cycle
that causes a spike in the Earth's temperature.
