    최초로 한국해양연구원 변상경 박사가 신임 의장으로 선출됐습니다.

▷ Dr. 변상경 with the Korean Ocean Research & Development Institute has
     become the first Korean to be appointed to the helm of
     the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission. His appointment
     was named an official at the organization's 26th annual conference
     yesterday in Paris.

    수입을 금지해 달라고 요구했습니다.

▷ The war between Samsung and Apple is heating up, with the
     Korean company seeking a U.S. import ban on some of Apple's
     hottest products like the iPhone and the iPad with the U.S.
     International Trade Commission.

    선수 출신인 샤를렌느 위트스톡이 결혼식을 앞두고 고향으로 도망을 
    치려다 실패했다고 보도했습니다. 하지만 모나코 왕실측은 이 사실에
    대해 억측 루머라며 반박했습니다.

▷ After a French magazine reported that Charlene Wittstock,
    a former Olympic swimmer who is the bride-to-be of Prince
    Albert, attempted to flee the wedding on a one-way ticket to
    South Africa, the Monacan Royal Palace denied the story.
