The Bank of Korea bumped up its key interest rate on Tuesday to keep ever-increasing 
inflation at bay. 

The rate increase, up a quarter of a percentage point from 2.25 to 2.5 percent, did not 
raise many eyebrows among economists and financial institutions. 

The rate hike was actually expected last month, but foregone amid risks of the exchange 
rate's effect on the global economy.

연 2.25%에서 2.50%로 0.25%포인트 인상된 이번 금리 인상은 금융 기관이나 경제 전문가들

사실 최근 물가 상승세로 지난달도 금리인상 전망에 힘이 실렸지만 환율의 여러 문제 등을 고려해 
금리를 동결해왔었습니다.
